European Synchrotron Facility (ESRF)

After a short flight to Geneva, followed by a scenic drive to Grenoble, Bill Sellers and I have just arrived at ESRF to start work with some new colleagues....Dr. Fabien Knoll (soon to join Manchester as a Marie Curie Fellow) and his splendid colleague Professor Jose Luis Sanz from the Autonomous University of Madrid. This is both mine and Bill's first visit to ESRF...so here begins the exponential learning curve!
